Job description

Summary

Humana is a healthcare company providing insurance and healthcare services. The Medicaid Clinical Operations team is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects supporting clinical operations, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and business transformation across Medicaid programs. The role is responsible for end-to-end delivery, stakeholder coordination, risk management, governance, and successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and successful project outcomes
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics while ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Monitor project performance, proactively manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Facilitate governance processes, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications to ensure transparency and informed decision-making
  • Partner with clinical, operational, technology, compliance, vendor, and business leaders to gather requirements, drive alignment and engagement
  • Coordinate cross-functional implementation and process improvement activities to support operational readiness, deployment, and adoption of new processes, systems, and capabilities
  • Manage project forecasting, compliance requirements, and adherence to organizational standards and governance practices
  • Leverage project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and project delivery excellence

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience, including planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through completion
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and at least one project management tool such as Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project, Asana, or Monday.com
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project management certification preferred
  • Equivalent training and demonstrated project management experience will also be considered
  • Technical fluency in productivity and project management tools
  • MS Planner
  • MS SharePoint sites
  • Smartsheet
  • Jira Align
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) fundamentals
  • Agile delivery concepts and methodologies
  • Testing, deployment, and release management practices
  • Medicaid managed care, health plan, healthcare operations, or clinical operations experience

Qualifications
