Summary
Invicta Software is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is essential in providing timely and effective technical support to our employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and a seamless technology experience across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, including operating systems and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system
- Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary
- Support IT initiatives such as hardware rollouts, software upgrades, and security compliance
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and contribute to continuous improvement of support procedures
Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in desktop or technical support roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common enterprise software
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and VPN
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus
