Job description

Summary

IonQ is a quantum technology company delivering integrated solutions across quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security. The Recruiting Coordinator will support the hiring process by coordinating interviews, assisting candidates and hiring teams, managing recruiting events and internship programs, and applying AI tools to improve recruiting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews across time zones, managing calendars, interview panels, video links and on-site visits
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates regarding scheduling and any pertinent information regarding interview schedules
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking system (ATS), including stages, and required documentation
  • Support recruiting events such as career fairs, university and veteran hiring events, and candidate open houses, including logistics, materials and follow-up
  • Help run the internship program: scheduling interviews, tracking intern cohorts, coordinating onboarding and supporting program events
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day work, such as drafting candidate communications, summarizing interview feedback and automating scheduling tasks, and share what works with the wider team
  • Identify manual steps in the coordination process and propose AI-enabled or automated improvements
  • Assist with recruiting reports, hiring metrics, audits and other Talent Acquisition projects as needed

Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR, People Operations or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with an ATS or HRIS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, BambooHR, ADP)
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) at work, and interest in finding new ways to apply them
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a candidate-first mindset
  • Ability to prioritize many requests and work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Employment with IonQ is contingent on either verifying “U.S. Person” (e.g., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum) status for export controls and government contracts work, obtaining any necessary license, and/or confirming the availability of a license exception under U.S. export controls
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Experience supporting events or programs, such as internships, career fairs or campus recruiting, is a plus
