Job description

Summary

Kodiak Solutions provides consulting services focused on healthcare finance, clinical operations, and revenue cycle management. The Revenue Cycle Consultant, Procedural will oversee clinical revenue management and charge capture projects, analyze clinical documentation against billing outcomes, and develop process improvements for perioperative, cardiology, and interventional radiology services. The role also involves collaborating with client leadership and supporting best-practice revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day tasks related to clinical revenue management and charge capture projects, applying both your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to support our clients
  • By leveraging advanced technology tools, you will deliver high-quality analysis and process improvement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' revenue cycles
  • You’ll also collaborate with various levels of client leadership, making a tangible impact on their operations
  • Account reviews comparing clinical documentation to billing outcomes will be a critical element of your day-to-day activities
  • Applying clinical knowledge experiences to help improve and streamline charge capture processes elevating our clients to best-practice standards will be critical

Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or a health-related field is required
  • 3-5 years of deep healthcare experience is required
  • Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role is essential
  • Expertise in hospital revenue cycle management, with a specific focus on charge capture processes, is required
  • Technical knowledge in this area of expertise as well as the appropriate licensure or certification (e.g. clinical credentials such as BSN, certifications such as CCS, CPC, RHIA or project management certification)
  • Must currently hold a CIRCC or CNOR credential or plan on acquiring one within 1 year of employment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, guide cross-functional teams, and interact with all levels of client and internal staff
  • Exceptional financial and analytical skills are required, with a strong aptitude for using data to drive decision-making and process improvement
  • Proficiency in excel is required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • An MBA, MHA, and/or MPH is highly desirable
  • With a focus on clinical areas such as radiology, cardiology, perioperative services, or nursing being a strong advantage
  • Prior experience in sales or business development is a plus
  • Charge Capture and Coding Experience
  • Clinical experience working within Perioperative Services, Invasive Cardiology or Interventional Radiology services lines
