Summary
Lantana Consulting Group, Inc. provides services and software for standards-based health-information exchange. The Project Manager I supports project management for a federal-government contract by planning and managing scope, teams, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and deliverables, while coordinating with program leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and control the project with particular regard for the objectives, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and risks
- Direct the project team in planning and implementing the project to align with scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Triage and respond to client or stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally
- Manage software-development projects according to industry best practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff
- Act as a task-management and tracking expert
- Juggle competing demands and prioritize work effectively
- Schedule internal and external meetings; prepare agendas and materials
- Compose and organize clear meeting minutes for internal calls, client/customer meetings, and conference calls that capture important discussions, decisions, and action items
Skills
- High-school diploma
- Five or more years of experience in project management
- Experience with government contracts or programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Experience supporting healthcare-facility onboarding, implementation, technical coordination, or other multi-stakeholder project activities
- Experience maintaining project schedules, trackers, risk/action-item logs, and status reporting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a challenging environment across multiple, diverse teams
- Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigation
- For this position, the candidate must reside in the United States
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with public health, healthcare systems, and/or Health IT projects, including healthcare-related software projects
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology
- Experience with Jira
- Knowledge of healthcare standards
- Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PSM)
