Job description
Summary
Moore is seeking a Data Programmer who works with large datasets to analyze, plan, and execute complex processing workflows. The role focuses on creating end-to-end solutions for data transformations and large-scale production preparation, including variable layouts and digital document composition.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow complex job processing instructions
- Plan and execute a data processing workflow
- Receive, analyze and manipulate data using third-party and in-house software
- Work with data in a variety of formats including Access, Excel, comma-delimited, xml and fixed length
- Write scripts using C++ syntax to perform data transformations
- Create digital layouts for variable data printing in Quadient Inspire Designer
- Prepare files for output to a wide range of printing devices
- Perform quality assurance checks for all work
- Work closely with the customer service team and production staff
- Serve as technical support for all projects worked on
- Stay current with regulations pertaining to the printing and mailing industry
Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency working in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Intrinsically motivated and have a strong commitment to quality
- Ability to plan and prioritize projects
- Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment
- Experience with VB.Net, C# or C++
- Ability to be present and available at the scheduled times and location as outlined in the work schedule
- Experience with Anchor Software or Quadient Inspire is a plus
