Summary
Motorola Solutions delivers cloud-based software and technology solutions that support public safety organizations and safer communities. The Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading customer implementations, including project lifecycle oversight, technical deployment, activation, configuration, training, issue resolution, and operational transition for cloud-native solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive On-Time Activation and Delivery: Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor, Control and Solve
- Validate scope and goals, document and track deliverables and milestones to drive the implementation forward with clear expectations and target completion dates
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment across varied enterprise groups
- Risk Management: Manage timeline and mitigate risks. Proactively anticipate issues, explore contingency plans, and provide effective escalation management throughout all phases
- Leadership: Guide the client project team and ensure alignment with objectives
- Respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner
- Manage resolution of technical and non-technical issues
- Troubleshoot a broad range of technical issues on the application and OS levels
- Installation, migration and upgrade of products on accelerated time schedules
- Develop a full understanding of all products
- Create or contribute to process documentation and improvements
- Write Standard Operating Procedures when required
- Create and review knowledge base documentation and FAQs based on issue solutions
- Conduct training on various Products and Services
Skills
- 4+ years operating at the intersection of business operations, project management, and cloud implementation in Enterprise, Public Safety or Government systems software implementation
- High school diploma
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required
- Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers
- Understanding of Public Safety customer environments for product security and reliability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Excellent investigative and debugging skills
- Excellent problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under strict deadlines and interact with customers of varying experience levels
- Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of tools
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Ruby)
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Knowledge of web services/web technology (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON)
- Knowledge of VMware, managing Virtual Machines
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) preferred
