Summary

MVP Law is seeking an experienced attorney to join its West Des Moines office and practice workers' compensation defense. The role involves independently managing a defense caseload, trying cases, conducting depositions and mediations, maintaining client relationships, supporting business development, and using technology in a paperless work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload with independence
• Successfully try cases, conduct depositions and mediations
• Effectively establish, build, and maintain relationships with all assigned clients
• Participate in marketing and business development opportunities within the firm
• Engage in a collaborative team atmosphere
• Utilize available technology to manage clients effectively and efficiently within a paperless work environment

Skills

• Minimum four (4) years of relevant experience
• Licensed and in good standing in Iowa
• Understanding of current court-related procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Collaborative and committed to working as part of a team
