Responsibilities
- Developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects
- Perform and validate test cases based on quality requirements
- Recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines
- Ensuring that the end product meets the minimum quality standards, is fully functional and user-friendly
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may consider equivalent work experience or relevant certifications
- Proven experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar role, typically 2-5+ years
- Experience in software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with testing methodologies such as functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and/or user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and scripting languages for test automation
- Knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing
- Ability to execute and validate test cases based on functional specifications and user stories
- Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
