Application Field Service Engineer

Summary

Nordson Electronics Solutions, a global leader in assembly and advanced packaging stage solutions, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Field Service Engineer. The role supports pre-sales and post-sales activities, including customer demonstrations, material evaluations, installations, equipment servicing and repair, customer training, phone support, and CRM activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities including customer demonstrations, material evaluation, on-site installations, as well as servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems for all products and markets
• Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment
• Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system and provides training
• When not traveling may be called upon to participate in the Call Center Phone Support and CRM system and perform other internal activities
• May also eventually be assigned to specific customer accounts as the primary technical support contact
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Skills

• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
• 1-3 years related experience
• Exposure to the printed circuit board and semiconductor packaging industries
• Highly motivated and self managing
• Analytical thinker with great troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer communication skills
