Job description

Summary

NVA General Practice is a community of veterinary hospitals focused on providing accessible, high-quality care for animals and their companions. The Pricing Analyst will analyze pricing, sales, utilization, and client behavior data to develop recommendations that support revenue growth, margin performance, and consistency across hospitals. The role also monitors pricing KPIs, improves pricing processes and systems, and collaborates with operations, data, marketing, veterinarians, and hospital leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate historical sales, service utilization, and client purchasing behavior to identify pricing opportunities
  • Benchmark pricing across hospitals, markets, and competitors to ensure fairness and competitiveness
  • Model pricing scenarios to measure potential revenue and client impact
  • Support the development of guidelines and frameworks for consistent, scalable enterprise pricing practices
  • Track KPIs such as revenue growth, margin performance, price realization, and discounting practices
  • Identify pricing anomalies or outliers across clinics and surface recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare regular reporting to monitor outcomes following pricing changes
  • Support efforts to improve data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems
  • Contribute to the development of pricing tools, templates, and processes that hospitals can easily adopt
  • Stay current on veterinary industry trends, consumer expectations, and pricing best practices
  • Partner with Operations, Data, and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with clinic workflows, client communications, and brand standards
  • Work closely with veterinarians and hospital leaders to understand clinical considerations and client sensitivities around pricing
  • Translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights for both executive and clinic-level audiences

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or data analytics — preferably in healthcare, retail, or other multi-location businesses
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to connect data insights to business realities — including clinic operations and client experiences
  • Understanding of revenue, cost, and margin drivers in a service-based business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across corporate teams and hospital leadership
  • Empathy for the client and patient experience, with sensitivity to the role pricing plays in veterinary care decisions
  • Master's degree
  • Experience with query languages (e.g. SQL) and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
  • Comfort with healthcare or veterinary practice management systems
