Summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is a medical center focused on providing healthcare services. The Cash Application Reconciliation Representative performs accounts receivable functions, including reconciling daily cash to patient accounting systems, maintaining bank deposits and payment spreadsheets, preserving audit data, and researching patient inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • The Cash Application Reconciliation Representative is responsible for performing a variety of accounts receivable functions to include the reconciliation of daily cash to the patient accounting systems, maintenance of bank deposits and payment spreadsheets, maintenance of data for audit purposes, and for the research and follow-up of patient inquiries

Skills

  • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Skill in good interpersonal, oral, and written communication, grammar and spelling
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and willingly accept responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to set priorities and use good judgement
  • Minimum of two (2) years cash posting, reconciliation, or bookkeeping experience required, with five (5) years' experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance claims processing and third party reimbursement procedures preferred
