Job description
Summary
Randstad Digital Americas is seeking an experienced Hospital Billing Specialist for its Revenue Cycle team. The role manages hospital billing and collections for commercial, government, and managed care payors using Epic, while reviewing contracts, pursuing reimbursements, submitting claims and appeals, and reporting payor trends.
Responsibilities
- Execute billing and collection activities for commercial, government, and managed care payors using Epic and online resources
- Read, interpret, and apply complex payor contract terms to calculate expected reimbursements and pursue all monies due
- Identify, research, and report payor issues and claim trends to PFS Leadership
- Prepare and submit paper claims, formal paper appeals, and refund requests accurately
- Perform account collection activities using web tools and professional phone communication
Skills
- If you bring at least two years of hospital billing and collections experience, strong proficiency in Epic and MS Excel
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital billing and collections
- Proven hands-on experience utilizing Epic for billing and collection workflows
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proficiency in submitting paper claims, filing appeals, and processing refund requests
