Teleradiology Associate

Summary

RAYUS Radiology is a radiology services provider focused on clinical excellence and patient care. The Teleradiology Associate provides administrative and technological support for the teleradiology department, including transmitting radiologic images, assisting radiologists, troubleshooting systems, and handling departmental communications and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Copies CD's of outside read exams when needed
• Forwards images and paperwork to appropriate radiologist and location
• Assists Radiologist Assistant with entering outside reads, networking and assigning cases
• Checks ACUO, eFilm and computers for proper function
• Troubleshoots FusionRIS, ACUO and eFilm issues
• Checks FuisonRIS for each site and modality for pending manual assignment
• Checks with on-call radiologist concerning exams that need to be networked to their homes on a daily basis
• Ensures that after hour reads are setup for the radiologist that is to read the scan
• Checks department voice mail and email in a timely manner
• Follows up with radiologist if previous day's exams not read
• Replenishes department office supplies including fax machine and printer paper
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year Microsoft Office experience
• Data entry experience
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing
