Job description
Summary
Searchmark.ai is an AI-forward company that builds tools and strategies for improving information and product discovery. The Search Consultant will design, implement, and optimize search solutions across leading platforms, applying AI and machine learning techniques while advising clients and collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize search across platforms (Solr, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, Elasticsearch)
- Develop and optimize indexing, query performance, and relevance tuning
- Integrate AI/ML models for semantic search, ranking, and personalization
- Implement schema changes, analyzers, and relevance configurations
- Advise clients on search strategy, platform selection, and best practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability of search infrastructure
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable search features
Skills
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience with search platforms (Solr, Elasticsearch, Coveo, Algolia, Constructor, or equivalent)
- • Strong knowledge of search relevance tuning, query design, and schema design
- • Interest in AI/ML applications for search (embedding models, LLMs, etc.)
- • Proficiency in Python, Java, or another backend language
- • 1+ years of experience working with agentic coding assistants
- • Familiarity with distributed systems, scaling, and cloud deployment
- • Experience with vector search technologies preferred
- • Experience with Coveo, Algolia, or Constructor in production
- • Learning to Rank, Vector Search, or rerankers
