Summary
Snaju Inc. is a custom software development studio specializing in on-orbit and ground-based software solutions for the space and aerospace sectors. They are seeking a Support Engineer I to provide technical assistance to customers, troubleshoot hosting-related issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer support tickets
- Identify and resolve VPS, dedicated server, and network-related issues effectively
- Assist customers with basic Linux and Windows server administration tasks, such as networking, software installations, and performance optimizations
- Support customers with DNS, IP management, and rDNS requests
- Monitor and escalate hardware failures, network outages, and performance issues to senior engineers
- Guide customers on control panel functionalities, billing inquiries, and account management
- Document solutions and contribute to the internal knowledge base
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery
Skills
- Fundamental knowledge of Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux) and Windows Server
- Understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, DNS, firewalls, SSH, RDP)
- Familiarity with VPS and dedicated server hosting environments
- Experience in troubleshooting server performance, connectivity, and common software issues
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication of technical solutions
- Customer-centric approach with excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Prior exposure to cPanel, Proxmox, or similar hosting control panels is advantageous
- Any background in BGP, virtualization, or cloud platforms is a bonus but not mandatory
