Summary
STERIS is a global provider of products and services supporting patient care, with an emphasis on infection prevention and healthcare and life sciences solutions. The Software Implementation Project Manager, Level I leads software implementation projects from planning through go-live, coordinating documentation, timelines, customer communications, cross-functional teams, risk management, training, onboarding, testing, and deliverable validation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support software implementation projects from planning through go-live
- Manage project documentation, timelines, deliverables, and customer communications
- Lead project status meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes
- Identify and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support customer training, onboarding, and transition to ongoing support teams
- Ensure project quality through configuration reviews, testing coordination, and deliverable validation
- Contribute to process improvements and develop expertise in software solutions and customer workflows
Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree, 12 years of relevant experience required
- 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, customer service, or a related professional role
- Basic familiarity with software products or technology-related projects
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with customers and team members
- Developing knowledge of information technology terminology
- Customer-focused mindset and willingness to develop client management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and treat employees at all levels with respect
- Basic problem-solving skills and eagerness to develop negotiation and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage assigned tasks across multiple projects
- Self-starter with a proactive and growth-oriented mindset

- Exposure to healthcare environments is a plus
