Skills
- Relevant Course work: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or other related program at the time of their internship, as well as having completed their sophomore year
- Candidates should possess leadership potential, be problem-solvers, and be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Construction Management Skills
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or manipulate controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and construction equipment; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock where employee must utilize the proper personal protective equipment and/or other safeguards for their protection
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
- AutoCAD, experience preferred
