Summary
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services that helps clients activate ideas and solutions. They are seeking a PC Refresh Technician to support a large-scale workstation refresh initiative, responsible for replacing, upgrading, and deploying PCs to end users with minimal disruption to daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform PC refresh activities including replacing legacy desktops and laptops with new equipment
- Image, configure, and deploy Windows workstations according to standardized build procedures
- Migrate user data, profiles, and settings from old devices to new systems
- Set up and test peripherals such as monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and printers
- Decommission and properly dispose of or return old hardware following asset management procedures
- Provide basic end‑user support during refreshes, including login assistance and post‑deployment troubleshooting
- Update asset records and refresh status in the ticketing or asset management system
- Work closely with project leads and IT teams to meet rollout schedules and daily targets
Skills
- 1–3 years of desktop support, deployment, or PC refresh experience
- Hands‑on experience with Windows 10/11 imaging and workstation deployments
- Familiarity with data migration tools and user profile transfers
- Comfortable supporting end users in person with clear and professional communication
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed
- Experience with imaging tools such as SCCM, MDT, or Intune
- Familiarity with Active Directory (login issues, account validation)
- Experience working on large‑scale refresh or rollout projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
