Summary
Texas Physical Therapy Specialists, a member of the Confluent Health family, provides patient scheduling and administrative support for physical therapy services. The Patient Scheduling Coordinator answers patient inquiries, schedules appointments, verifies insurance information, manages communications, and coordinates with clinic teams to support a smooth patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling and general questions
- Schedule new patient appointments for assigned physical therapy clinics
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for every patient
- Listen to patient needs, identify solutions, and resolve questions or concerns in a timely manner
- Coordinate with clinic teams to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately
- Accurately enter and update patient information in computer systems
- Verify insurance information and assist with referrals and authorization requirements
- Follow up with patients, physician offices, and internal teams as needed
- Manage voicemails, emails, and other scheduling requests
- Document calls and patient interactions accurately
- Request and upload required documentation into electronic medical record systems
- Communicate with referring providers and internal departments to ensure a smooth scheduling process
- Follow established scheduling procedures and quality standards.Meet individual and team performance goals and participate in training, coaching, and team meetings
