Job description

Summary

Vitrolife Group is a global provider of medical devices and genetic services supporting fertility treatment through science and advanced research. The Technical Service Engineer will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced fertility laboratory equipment while providing technical support to customers throughout North America and ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on EmbryoScope TimeLapse and Culture Systems
  • Install capital equipment at customer sites according to specifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair Vitrolife Group capital equipment, both remotely and onsite
  • Provide timely and professional technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication
  • Travel extensively (minimum 80%) to support installations, service calls, and training

Skills

  • Minimum: Associate degree in a technical or engineering program
  • Minimum: 1–2 years in a technical or engineering role
  • Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and software configuration
  • Familiarity with IT troubleshooting, networking, and system integration
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including pnemation
  • Advanced PC knowledge: hardware assembly, software setup, and networking
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across IT and lab equipment
  • Professional appearance and communication in customer-facing settings
  • Organized, logical, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to follow protocols and ask clarifying questions when needed
  • Comfortable working independently and managing extensive travel schedules
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 4–8 years in technical service, engineering, or equipment repair
  • Experience in electronic or pneumatic systems preferred
