Summary
West Cary Group is a full-service digital marketing and technology agency. The Account Manager II will manage the growth and profitability of 3–5 accounts by planning strategically, maintaining client relationships and budgets, supporting marketing and branding initiatives, and contributing to new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Must execute strategic and tactical planning to meet client needs
- Must develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executives
- Must establish and maintain project budgets, timelines and administration to achieve profitability
- Internally work in tandem with the creative team to deliver high quality, on time branding and marketing solutions
- Must contribute to new business opportunities, including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation
- Forecast and track client account metrics
- Enhance department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Develop new opportunities to grow the client’s business through branding and marketing efforts
- Awareness of marketing trends and innovations
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
- 3-5 years of advertising agency experience and a solid grasp of the fundamentals of marketing and advertising
- Experience in traditional marketing channels (print, television, radio, point of sale, promotions) as well as newer media like online marketing, social networking, blogs, etc
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation/pitch skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented attitude
- Flexibility (e.g. the ability to handle an account where deadlines are tight and client preferences may change suddenly and with short notice)
- The ability to both work independently and function as a high performing team member
- An innate desire to operate at the top of your game and deliver the best creative product
- Commitment to bringing consistent thought leadership in support of the client's marketing and communication needs
- Relationship management, project management or process management experience is a plus
