Summary
Zywave is a leader in building innovative SaaS products for the insurance industry. The Configuration Engineer will collaborate with the product development team to create and maintain integrations with insurance carriers using web-based tools.
Responsibilities
- Work with product development team members to develop cutting edge, best-in-class, SaaS applications
- Use web-based configuration tools to establish carrier connections
- Map to common APIs
- Build and maintain critical insurance carrier integrations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong proficiency with JSON and XML
- Demonstrated API knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience building and maintaining third-party REST/SOAP API integrations
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and create efficient software solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated with ability to manage tasks and timelines independently
- Experience with API testing and collaboration tools (e.g., Postman)
- Hands-on experience testing web-based software applications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Understanding of the U.S. auto and home insurance industry, including terminology and regulatory processes
- Experience working with insurance-specific formats like Accord XML and JSON schemas
- Familiarity with .NET framework
- Experience with Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code and Git
- Knowledge of SQL stored procedures and advanced JSON schemas
- Experience with web scraping technologies (e.g., Selenium)
