Summary
AESC is a global organization developing and manufacturing lithium-ion battery technology and full-value-chain battery solutions for electric vehicles and energy applications. The Sales Operation Specialist will support utility-scale battery energy storage projects through lead qualification, sales coordination, opportunity management, CRM tracking, proposal support, and customer follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries related to utility-scale BESS projects (typically 10 MW to 500+ MW)
- Support Account Managers to qualify leads by gathering project details such as project size, location, interconnection status, application (capacity, ancillary services, renewable integration, etc.), and project timeline
- Support the sales team by coordinating resources within the company to prepare proposal packages
- Work within the sales org and marketing department to assist in scheduling and planning related to both internal and external activities and industry trade shows
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasts, and customer communications within the CRM system
- Assist with RFP and RFQ responses, including data collection, document organization, and submission support
- Follow up with customers on proposals, technical clarifications, and commercial discussions
- Monitor utility-scale market activity, policy drivers, and competitive landscape
- Support channel partners, EPCs, and developers throughout early project development phases
Skills
- • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 2–4 years of inside sales, sales operations, or commercial support experience; exposure to utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, power generation, or transmission & distribution preferred
- • Familiarity with large infrastructure or capital equipment sales cycles
- • Strong understanding of sales funnel management and CRM tools
- • Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly and professionally
- • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale opportunities simultaneously
- • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment
- • Knowledge of utility-scale BESS components (battery containers, PCS, EMS, transformers, SCADA)
- • Understanding of grid-connected applications such as frequency regulation, capacity, energy arbitrage, and renewable integration
- • Experience supporting EPCs, utilities, IPPs, or project developers
- • Familiarity with interconnection processes, permitting, and project development phases for Utility scale ESS projects
- • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- • Ability to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms frequently throughout the day
- • Required to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Bilingual of English and Mandarin is preferred
