Job description
Summary
Appen is an AI training data company supporting model development through human-generated data and a global contributor network. The Strategic Sourcer will develop and execute sourcing strategies for specialized and high-volume contributor needs, use data and AI-enabled tools to improve sourcing workflows, and collaborate with sourcing, recruitment, and delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for specialized, hard-to-reach, and high-volume needs
- Explore communities, networks, referrals, and non-traditional channels to find and engage contributors
- Translate project requirements into targeted searches and adapt strategies as needs evolve
- Communicate sourcing progress, challenges, and market feedback, and flag potential risks
- Use sourcing and conversion data to identify bottlenecks, test approaches, and improve performance
- Use AI and automation in research, outreach, analysis, and sourcing workflows to improve efficiency
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop new approaches when traditional sourcing methods are not effective
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience using sourcing data and funnel metrics to inform decisions and improve results
- Experience sourcing for AI, data, or crowdsourcing projects
- Experience sourcing linguists, translators, or other language profiles across markets
- Experience working with global or distributed teams across time zones
