Summary
Brightspeed provides broadband internet services and is upgrading networks to fiber optic technologies. The Financial Analyst, Management Reporting supports enterprise financial reporting, month-end close, performance analysis, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making while partnering with cross-functional business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages
- Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership
- Partner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other business functions to understand forecast assumptions, drivers and variances, and improve financial accuracy
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting through variance analysis and management commentary
- Maintain and leverage financial accounting and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, month-end close processes, and analytical capabilities through process enhancements and automation
- Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support informed business decisions

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a related analytical finance role
- Strong understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Experience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar ERP platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification
- Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure industry
- Experience supporting enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting functions
- Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
