Job description

Summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences develops life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology solutions that support laboratories and advance human health. The Field Service Engineer services products at customer facilities, builds customer relationships, and resolves instrumentation issues promptly while supporting preventive maintenance, upgrades, and customer satisfaction across the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Service Beckman Coulter products at the customer facility
  • Cultivate customer relationships and support commercial initiatives
  • Drive a sense of urgency to ensure the customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on a "first time fix" through the problem-solving process

Skills

  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, life science, or equivalent military experience
  • 1+ year of experience problem solving, diagnosing, or troubleshooting challenges with instrumentation using a variety of methods
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to commute onsite to customer facilities within assigned territory
  • Overnight travel 25% - 60%. Ability to occasionally lift, lower, and move up to 50 lbs. (tools, replacement parts, consumables, etc.)
  • Prior laboratory or field service experience
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment
