Summary
Global Land Partners, LLC is seeking experienced Title Agents to support energy and infrastructure development projects. The role conducts surface title research, prepares title documentation, identifies and resolves title issues, and collaborates with project stakeholders to integrate findings into project planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough title research for designated project areas, primarily in Texas and potentially in other states, including surface ownership, easements, liens, mortgages, and encumbrances
- Prepare comprehensive title reports, runsheets, and chain of title documentation for surface properties
- Identify and assess title issues that may affect project design or construction, such as third-party easements, conservation easements, or mineral reservations
- Collaborate with project developers, land technicians, and GIS staff to integrate title findings into project planning and resolve title defects as needed
- Maintain organized, current records of title status using project management systems such as Smartsheet, Microsoft programs, or similar tools
Skills
- At least three years of surface title experience in right-of-way, renewable energy, utilities, or oil and gas
- Minimum of 3 years of total title experience, with a minimum of 1 year in Texas as a Title Agent in one or more of the following sectors: Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Public Utilities, Department of Transportation, or Real Estate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in title curative processes, due diligence, legal descriptions (including metes and bounds surveys), and interpreting deed reservation language
- Comprehensive understanding of heirship statutes, marital and community property laws, and various forms of co-ownership
- Demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while communicating effectively with all stakeholders
