Summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is a nationally recognized law firm handling complex litigation matters for clients across a broad range of industries. The Defense Litigation Associate will manage a diverse and challenging caseload, work independently on multiple matters, and collaborate with a high-performing litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • You will be entrusted with a diverse and challenging caseload, assuming significant responsibilities from the outset, while collaborating with a high-performing team

Skills

  • Must be admitted to the Indiana Bar and in good standing
  • Experience drafting complicated opinions, motions and legal memoranda, conducting file analysis, taking depositions, and interviewing witnesses
  • Demonstrated experience managing a rigorous caseload independently, with the ability to handle multiple matters efficiently while maintaining high-quality work
  • Strong academics and excellent writing skills required
  • Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of defense litigation experience, including general liability, product liability, construction defect, premises liability, and vehicle liability matters
