Summary
History Factory is a brand heritage and archives agency that helps enterprises use their history and heritage to support strategy, branding, marketing, and communications. The Manager, Business Development supports new business pursuits by producing presentations, proposals, sales deliverables, statements of work, outbound content, and maintaining sales assets and pipeline records.
Responsibilities
- Participate in meetings with prospective clients with accountabilities for supporting meeting preparation, agenda development and summary notes
- Coordinate subject matter experts, creative resources and leadership input against pursuit deadlines
- Build client presentations, develop proposals and supporting sales deliverables, and draft statements of work for new business pursuits, from intake through final production
- Create content for business-development-driven outbound, including marketing emails and campaign material
- Maintain the library of reusable sales assets: capabilities materials, case studies, boilerplate, bios and pricing frameworks
- Identify gaps and flag them to ensure content is updated and aligned with supporting business development needs
- Maintain pipeline data integrity: opportunity records, stages, sources and close-out documentation
Skills
- * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- * 3 to 5 years supporting sales or business development in a B2B agency or professional services environment
- * Direct experience producing proposals and client presentations that won work
- * Strong writing across formats, and the ability to move from a rough brief to a finished
deliverable
- * Fluency with CRM and pipeline tools, and real discipline about data hygiene
- * Comfort in a client meeting, including the judgment to know when to speak and when to take
- Location: Washington, DC/Remote Hybrid Preferred
- Familiarity with marketing and communications, archives or history in a business context is an advantage rather than a requirement
