Job description

Summary

McGraw Hill is an education content and services company serving educators and learners. The Account Manager will manage a designated K-12 territory and customer base, achieve sales quotas, build customer relationships, and expand market penetration through strategic outreach and territory planning.

Responsibilities

  • Attains and surpasses sales goals with the proven ability to advance sales and build customer relationships to maintain and expand market penetration
  • Travels to local customers weekly with some overnight travel
  • Develops and maintains customer profiles, builds new contacts/customers, and identifies and influences customer needs
  • Communicates internally and externally to influence sales
  • Performs targeted customer outreach by phone and email to build and maintain pipeline
  • Creates and executes strategic territory plans with organization and follow through
  • Prioritizes customer base and ensure availability, visibility, and promotional activity with respect to that base

Skills

  • Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
  • 3 years of sales experience
  • Ability to communicate product value and build customer relationships
  • Proficiency in sales software and platforms and MS Suite
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in business or education
  • Background as an educator
