Summary
Numotion provides mobility products, medical supplies, and assistive technologies that support the independence and participation of people with disabilities. The Funding Coordinator reviews medical documentation, submits and follows up on prior authorization requests, evaluates payer decisions, calculates estimated copays, and communicates with customers and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Review medical documentation for accuracy/medical necessity
- Submit for prior authorization with all required documentation to appropriate funding source
- Maintain consistent follow up on status of all prior authorization requests
- Review authorizations from payer to determine approved/denied items
- Calculate estimated copay based on current insurance benefits
- Communicate with Supervisor in regards to issues/changes with Payer
- Respond to all internal and external customers in a timely & professional manner
- Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission
- Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times
- Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority

Skills
- High School diploma/GED required
- Six months medical documentation related experience or training required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
- Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision
- Able to use technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills
- Listens well and retains instructions; accepts constructive feedback from supervisor
- A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings
- Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Numotion Mission
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects
- Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Associates degree preferred
