Job description

Summary

PCS Retirement is an independent retirement solutions provider offering recordkeeping and related services for retirement plans and accounts. The Distribution Analyst II supports daily distribution operations, processes retirement account transactions, performs quality assurance, trains entry-level analysts, and helps resolve client and account-related issues in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing and approving & quality assurance of level one Analysts transactions
  • Provides trainings for level one Analysts responsibilities
  • Acts as second in command to Distributions Team Lead in their absence
  • Accurately processes various distribution types including loans and excess contribution transactions without errors
  • Performs quality reviews of all transactions processed to verify accuracy
  • Reviews and prepares manual investment transactions to effect timely disbursement of monies
  • Evaluates, approves, and processes retirement account requests received from clients
  • Takes ownership of account related issues by researching historical activity, interacts with various vendors, internal or external partners
  • Promptly follows up with partners via phone calls or email as needed
  • Monitors the department email boxes, workflow queues and Salesforce cases
  • Enhances client experience by providing feedback regarding improvements to streamline existing processes and/or increase department efficiency
  • Has working knowledge of IRS rules regarding retirement accounts and tax codes via ongoing training courses, IRS publications, or other reference material
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned

Skills

  • 2+ years of retirement industry experience required
  • Financial degree preferred, or any equivalent combination of education or work experience
  • Self-Starter, highly self-motivated with an ability to work independently with minimal instruction
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to prioritize work and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Ability to run reports out of Salesforce and Relius and analyze data
  • Ability to meet various daily deadlines for timely processing of disbursements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and   Access; keyboarding proficiency, internet savvy and use of web-based systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Interacts professionally with customers and addresses all inquiries
  • Demonstrates strong analytical foundation, sound judgment, and ability to solve complex problems independently
  • Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as requested
  • Experience with Relius and Salesforce preferred
