Job description

Summary

Risepoint is an education technology company that helps regional universities launch and grow online programs for modern learners. The Lifecycle Automation Specialist builds, tests, deploys, and optimizes lifecycle automation solutions, while analyzing performance, resolving issues, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with marketing and technical teams to improve customer experiences and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, test, and deploy lifecycle automation solutions using established implementation patterns, operational standards, and quality assurance practices
  • Configure audiences, automation workflows, personalization, and engagement logic exercising judgment to address technical requirements, data considerations, and customer experience objectives
  • Perform quality assurance testing to validate automation functionality, data accuracy, personalization, and customer experience prior to production deployment
  • Analyze automation performance, diagnose implementation and data-related issues, determine root causes, and recommend solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer experience outcomes. Escalate issues requiring broader solution, platform or architectural review
  • Partner with Senior Automation Specialists and Automation Managers to implement lifecycle automation solutions while continuing to deepen expertise in automation design and orchestration
  • Partner with Automation Enablement to support production readiness, validate implementation requirements, and ensure solutions align with established platform standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of automation solutions, implementation activities, testing results, and operational updates
  • Identify implementation improvements to strengthen automation quality and execution consistency
  • Evaluate automation requirements and apply implementation approaches that balance business needs, platform capabilities, scalability, and operational standards. Recommend alternative approaches when implementation challenges or risks are identified

Skills

  • Typically 2+ years of experience supporting CRM, marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, campaign operations, or marketing technology platforms
  • Experience configuring or supporting marketing automation, customer engagement, or CRM solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical requirements, evaluate solution options, exercise independent judgment, and resolve complex implementation challenges within marketing automation platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Marketing Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Understanding of customer journey concepts, automation workflows, segmentation, testing, and quality assurance principles
  • Exposure to email, SMS, or multi-channel customer engagement technologies
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable enterprise marketing automation platforms
  • Familiarity with SQL, AMPscript, or other marketing technology scripting languages
