Summary

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, P.L. is a national law firm specializing in creditors’ rights and real estate law. The firm is seeking a fully remote Foreclosure Paralegal to support its Minnesota foreclosure department by managing active files, preparing legal documents, coordinating with courts and vendors, and monitoring critical deadlines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, and prioritize the work appropriately
  • Communicate with the courts, clients, opposing counsel, county recording offices, publishers, process servers, and other vendors, as applicable
  • Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Draft and record legal documents under attorney supervision
  • Calendar and monitor applicable client, court, publication, recording, sale, redemption, bankruptcy, and post-sale deadlines
  • Assist attorneys in maintaining compliance with applicable local, state, and federal bankruptcy, foreclosure, and collections requirements. (as applicable)

Skills

  • Candidate should have at least one year of Law Firm experience handling foreclosures
  • Document preparation including but not limited to Notices of Sale and Deeds
  • Experience operating in LoanSphere/BKFS/ICE or comparable mortgage-servicing, bankruptcy, or foreclosure case-management systems
  • Creative in problem-solving and takes initiative when issues arise, with ability to use good judgment or obtain direction or clarification where needed
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Foreclosure Law
  • 1 year experience in handling foreclosures
  • Familiarity with Minnesota residential-foreclosure procedures preferred, including county recording practices, publication coordination, and post-sale/redemption tracking, preferred
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
