Summary
Shimmick is a problem-solving and innovative organization delivering high-quality projects for its clients. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage full-cycle recruitment for professional hires, source and engage candidates, partner with internal leaders, and represent the company to prospective talent.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process
- Sources, screens, and engages candidates through networking and referrals, proactive sourcing, and direct outreach
- Collaborates with department managers to identify accurate hiring needs
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
- Assists with the interview process, coordinating candidate travel, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders, as needed
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Travels to company offices and project sites, as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- BA/BS degree + 2 years of relevant recruiting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail; deadline driven
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills; confident in public speaking and presenting
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the construction industry, ideally inclusive of professional-level civil, mechanical, and electrical positions
- Experience hiring craft/skilled trades positions in the construction industry
- Agency recruiting experience highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of professional roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment (OFCCP, etc)
- Proficiency with applicant-tracking software such as iCIMS and/or UKG, and other recruitment systems such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
