Summary
Smart Communications provides a cloud-native platform that helps regulated enterprises modernize complex processes and deliver compliant, digital-first customer communications. The Business Development Representative supports demand generation by engaging prospective buyers, initiating conversations about business challenges, coordinating qualified meetings with Account Executives, and contributing to sales pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective buyers across priority accounts through thoughtful outreach, including phone, email, LinkedIn, and other engagement channels. Outreach should connect relevant industry challenges with the value Smart Communications delivers to its customers
- Create opportunities for dialogue with prospective stakeholders by identifying relevant challenges, initiatives, or priorities that align with Smart Communications’ solutions
- Coordinate introductory conversations between qualified prospects and Account Executives, helping ensure meetings are productive and aligned with the prospect’s priorities
- BDRs work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, Customer Success, and Account Management teams to support coordinated account engagement strategies. Strong collaboration is essential to the role. BDRs help ensure that outreach aligns with active campaigns, account priorities, and ongoing customer relationships
- BDRs help activate marketing campaigns and demand generation initiatives by engaging target accounts and translating campaign interest into sales conversations
