Summary
Strive Pharmacy is a personalized compounding pharmacy focused on individualized patient care and provider partnerships. The Staff Accountant will manage general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close activities, and payroll cost allocations across multiple companies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and identify trends
- Allocate costs to appropriate companies, general ledger accounts, and cost centers
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects or departments
- Reconcile payroll allocations to general ledger accounts
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience, with foundational knowledge of GAAP and payroll regulations
- Demonstrated ability to investigate financial discrepancies, analyze GL variances, and resolve root-cause errors to ensure audit readiness
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with high attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with team members
- Knowledge of fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Experience with multi-company or intercompany allocations
- Previous accounting or finance experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or compounding industry
