The Automotive Sales & Service Representative serves as a primary customer contact, handling inbound and outbound communications, resolving inquiries, promoting products and services, retaining memberships, and achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound customer interactions professionally, building rapport and identifying customer needs through effective discovery techniques
- Present and promote products, services, and membership benefits while tailoring recommendations to each customer's situation
- Identify potential retention opportunities by educating members on membership benefits, services, and available solutions that align with their needs
- Apply consultative retention strategies to preserve memberships and strengthen long-term customer loyalty
- Calmly attempt to resolve and de-escalate any issues
- Escalate interactions when necessary and appropriate
- Educate customers on available plans, coverage options, features, and value-added services
- Track all call related information for auditing and reporting purposes
- Participate in coaching sessions, sales training, team meetings, potential client calls and continuous improvement initiatives
- Meet or exceed sales goals, conversion targets, revenue objectives, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize customer value and business growth
- Process sales transactions, service enrollments, and payment arrangements accurately
- Address customer questions, objections, and concerns with confidence while providing clear and persuasive offer with an additional rebuttal when appropriate
- Upsell every call required
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of sales experience, preferably in a call center, retail, membership, or customer-focused environment
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales, conversion, or performance goals
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to type at least 25 words per minute
- Strong communication, persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent active listening skills with the ability to uncover customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Proven ability to influence customer decisions and successfully retain business through relationship-building and problem-solving techniques
- Comfortable navigating multiple software applications, systems, and sales tools simultaneously
- Comfortable with desktop computer systems and have general knowledge of Windows-based systems
- Process Excellence: Demonstrate commitment to following established procedures and be customer service driven
- Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support departments to resolve customer issues and achieve performance goals
