Job description

Summary

Val's Services is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient healthcare-related software systems. The role involves designing features, contributing to both backend and frontend development, and optimizing data interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, estimating, and delivering medium-to-large features while reducing technical debt
  • Contributing to backend and frontend development using test-driven methodologies
  • Developing APIs, data models, and integrating with third-party systems
  • Optimizing data interactions for performance and security
  • Creating user interfaces aligned with UX designs
  • Supporting automated testing suites for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Proactively assisting team members and following established processes for consistent delivery

Skills

  • Proficiency in technologies such as Java (SpringBoot), Angular, Typescript, and JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud solutions (preferably AWS), large-scale systems, and databases like PostgresSQL
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card with residency in the U.S. for at least three years
  • Ability to pass a US Government background investigation for a Public Trust role
  • Knowledge of FHIR standards, AI/ML, and system interoperability is a plus
