Job description

Summary

Viaduct provides an AI platform for discrete manufacturers and fleet operators to improve productivity, quality, and asset performance. The Business Development Representative will prospect target accounts, engage manufacturing and operations leaders, qualify leads, book discovery meetings, maintain CRM data, and support sales and marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into target accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn, and multi-touch outbound sequences
  • Research companies and contacts to understand their challenges, AI solution opportunities, and personalize outreach
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and book discovery meetings for sales leadership
  • Maintain accurate activity, contact, and pipeline data in our CRM
  • Support Viaduct at industry conferences and trade shows, including booth coverage, lead capture, and timely follow-up
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and share feedback from prospect conversations to sharpen messaging
  • Track your activity and results to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly meeting and pipeline goals
  • Follow our policy and procedure documents related to security and privacy
  • Follow the guidelines in the Employee Handbook
  • Participate in new hire and annual training for security and privacy
  • Treat data security and privacy as one of your primary job responsibilities
  • Report Security Incidents you discover as bugs in Jira and let the Security team know

Skills

  • * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • * 0–2 years of professional experience. Internships, part-time sales, customer-facing jobs, and campus or athletic leadership all count
  • * Strong writing, speaking, and communication skills, and comfort picking up the phone
  • * A competitive drive and the resilience to treat "no" as part of the process
  • * Curiosity about AI, data, and manufacturing, and the ability to learn to talk about them confidently
  • * Strong organization and the ability to manage a high volume of activity
  • * A coachable, self-motivated attitude and a desire to grow into a sales leader
  • * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • * Nice to have: exposure to manufacturing, B2B technology, or familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools
