Job description

Summary

VSP Vision is a vision care and healthcare benefits company seeking an Account Executive to manage and grow existing accounts in Tennessee. The role focuses on developing strategic account plans, cultivating client and industry relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and coordinating internal teams to meet customer needs and revenue objectives.

Responsibilities

  • With general direction, service and renew products by managing existing accounts. Exercise a broad knowledge of the organization's services, products and marketing techniques to achieve market share and revenue growth objectives, as well as operational goals
  • Formulate and implement strategic business plans specific to the needs of individual large accounts to retain and increase membership and identify new and ancillary product sales opportunities
  • Cultivate and develop strong business relationships with clients and prospective clients’ key stakeholders
  • Manage business relationships with brokers, consultants and other industry partners
  • Educate key stakeholders on industry, pricing and benefit design trends in order to inform and assist with business decisions
  • Maintain current working knowledge on existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided
  • Act as liaison between various departments and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met. Collaborate with marketing and product development to address customer’s needs and analyze market data
  • Utilize sales automation system to make inquiries, maintain records and prepare reports

  • Ability to achieve and maintain any applicable agent licensing requirements for any state(s) within assigned sales territory
  • For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
  • Two plus years of business to business sales and/or account management experience, in the employee benefits or Healthcare/Insurance industry is preferred
