Summary
Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division is a global leader in variable speed drives, motion controls and robotics. We are seeking a Medium Voltage Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, repair, and test products in the field or remotely, while also advising and training customers to enhance service capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair and test products in the field or remotely
- Advise and train customers including importers, dealers, and end users
- Increase sales and image of Yaskawa products
- Improve company-wide service capabilities
- Work outside in various types of environmental conditions
Skills
- BSEE or BSEET or equivalent work experience servicing automation products, ideally medium voltage, power distribution (2.3kV to 15kV)
- Ability to travel nationally and/or Canada up to 70%+
- Ability to work outside in various types of environmental conditions
- Experience with variable frequency drives, motion control products, PLCs and HMIs
- Experience with electronic test equipment
- Diagnose electronic circuits
- Computer skills, preferably Autocad
Qualifications
Must Haves
- BSEE or BSEET or equivalent work experience servicing automation products, ideally medium voltage, power distribution (2.3kV to 15kV)
- Ability to travel nationally and/or Canada up to 70%+
- Ability to work outside in various types of environmental conditions
Nice to Haves
- Experience with variable frequency drives, motion control products, PLCs and HMIs
- Experience with electronic test equipment
- Diagnose electronic circuits
- Computer skills, preferably Autocad
