Job description

Summary

Abbott is a global healthcare company focused on diagnostics, medical devices, nutrition, and medicines. The Screening Sales Representative will advance colorectal cancer screening by building healthcare provider relationships, promoting Cologuard and other diagnostic solutions, managing accounts, and achieving territory sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of Cologuard while achieving sales objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare administrators, and other key stakeholders by identifying unmet needs and delivering value-based diagnostic solutions
  • Analyze local healthcare markets, customer data, and account insights to identify opportunities that improve patient outcomes and enhance the system of care
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Screening Advocates, Sales Operations, and Area Managers to implement customer-specific business strategies and maximize account success
  • Accurately document customer interactions, sales activities, market intelligence, and pipeline development within CRM while maintaining the highest ethical, quality, and compliance standards

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Life Sciences, or a related field or four (4) years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Two (2) years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR one (1) year of sales experience plus one (1) year of healthcare-related experience OR completion of active-duty military service as a Junior Officer or above
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence customers
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets company requirements
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Two (2) or more years of medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales experience
  • Experience calling on primary care physicians or other healthcare provider customers
  • Demonstrated success in commissioned sales and territory management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
  • Experience using data and business intelligence tools to guide account planning and sales strategy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative selling skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
