Summary
Bechtel Corporation is an engineering and construction company serving complex infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. The Process Engineer will apply process and chemical engineering methods to design and evaluate systems, prepare equipment and materials specifications, and support safe, operable, and environmentally sustainable operations.
Responsibilities
- Determining the sequence of operations and the selection of equipment and operating conditions required to convert a feedstock into products
- Generating Process Flow Diagrams, Heat and Material Balances, and Process Datasheets
- Designing the Relief System
- Supporting disciplines to ensure that process design intent is maintained throughout the work of the downstream design disciplines
Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
- Eligible for the University Hire Program (typically hired within 12 months of graduation)
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
- Prior co-op or internship experience
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
