Summary
ICAT Logistics is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support its human resources operations. The role assists with payroll processing, employee questions, benefits administration, HRIS documentation, record-keeping, compliance, and general HR administration in a remote work setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for payroll processing, including data entry, report generation, time sheet adjustments, and act as a backup for Payroll Manager
- Answer employee questions, address concerns, and provide general HR support
- Provide information to employees about benefits and pay questions
- Ensure all necessary documents are processed and entered in the HRIS system
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Assist employees with the completion of forms, including but not limited to, STD/LTD forms
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data
- Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as scheduling meetings, managing files, and preparing reports
- Manage temp requests including liaising with staffing agencies, handling timecards, invoices, requests, and cancellations
- Proactively discuss process improvements ideas and solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Highschool diploma required
- 2+ years of experience in Payroll / HR
- Proficiency in HR software and systems
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to plan and effectively set priorities for implementation
- Proven analytic and problem-solving skills in a time-sensitive, logistics environment
- Excels at meeting deadlines and demonstrates superior time management skills
- Natural ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work setting with a strong attention to detail
- Superior communication skills and an ability to motivate people with an emphasis on listening skills
