Summary
Job Duck connects professionals with remote job opportunities supporting US-based employers. The Personal Injury Litigation Assistant will support a fast-paced personal injury law practice by managing case-related tasks, preparing legal documents, coordinating depositions, tracking deadlines, and helping attorneys remain organized and prepared.
Responsibilities
- Track active cases and ensure they continue progressing efficiently
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and scheduling requests
- Monitor case deadlines and support timely completion of litigation tasks
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure documentation is properly organized
- Assist with litigation strategies and case progression activities
- Review and analyze discovery materials and case related documentation
- Draft motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Examine case files and legal records to identify critical information
- Provide proactive support with minimal supervision while managing complex legal assignments independently
- Maintain confidentiality of client and case information at all times
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and administrative efficiency
- Organize and prioritize incoming emails and communications
- Coordinate and schedule depositions with all involved parties
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and case related proceedings
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to support legal operations
Skills
- Law Degree required
- Advanced legal knowledge and litigation experience required
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, and legal documentation
- Ability to independently manage complex case assignments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Exceptional reading comprehension and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Low call volume position with limited phone communication responsibilities
