Summary
Optum is a global organization that delivers care aided by technology to help millions of people live healthier lives. The Sales Enablement Manager will support the Optum Financial Provider Products distribution organization by developing sales playbooks, training materials, launch resources, compliance guidance, and seller communications. The role will improve field readiness, seller effectiveness, content governance, provider feedback capture, and collaboration across sales, product, marketing, compliance, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sales playbooks, product guides, talk tracks, objection handling resources, and field-ready materials across Provider Products
- Coordinate onboarding, refresher training, and ongoing education for provider-facing sales teams
- Support seller readiness for new product launches, product changes, compliance updates, and process changes
- Partner with sales leadership to identify field knowledge gaps and develop practical enablement solutions
- Maintain sales content libraries, version control, and accessibility standards for field-facing resources
- Coordinate sales communications related to product updates, process changes, launch activities, and approved messaging
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to keep sales materials current, accurate, and usable
- Translate complex product, process, and compliance information into clear seller-facing documentation
- Support development and maintenance of approved sales practices, messaging standards, escalation paths, and compliance guardrails
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure field materials align with policy and regulatory expectations
- Help sellers understand what they can and cannot do across banking, lending, payment, and treasury-related products
- Support audit readiness by maintaining current materials, training records, and approved guidance
- Capture and organize seller feedback, provider insights, objections, and recurring field issues
- Develop Voice of Provider and Provider Advisory Board activities through logistics, materials, notes, and follow-up tracking
- Coordinate enablement resources for internal Optum and UHC provider-facing teams to support referrals and cross-sell awareness
- Share field insights with Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, and leadership to improve execution and future planning
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales training, product marketing, commercial execution, sales operations, or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to identify automation opportunities and leverage AI to improve productivity and quality
- Experience developing sales playbooks, training materials, product guides, seller communications, or launch readiness resources
- Experience working with sales teams, product teams, marketing teams, compliance partners, and operational stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex products, processes, and compliance requirements into practical field guidance
- Must be willing and able to travel appropriately 10% of the time as business needs dictate
- Healthcare, financial services, banking, lending, payments, fintech, or revenue cycle experience
- Experience supporting provider-facing commercial teams or regulated products
- Experience coordinating training, certification, or launch readiness for distributed sales teams
- Experience with CRM, SharePoint, Teams, learning tools, or enablement platforms
- Experience capturing customer or field feedback and translating insights into enablement improvements
