Summary
Thinkverse is an AI EdTech startup building an AI math tutor for students and an assistant for teachers. The Account Executive will generate and close new partnerships with small- and midsize K–12 school districts by managing the full sales cycle, developing pipeline, designing pilots, navigating procurement, and collaborating with implementation and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full sales cycle with K–12 districts, from initial outreach through contract signing
- Build pipeline through conferences, targeted cold calling and emailing, referrals, and territory development
- Identify and engage decision-makers at every level, including superintendents, chief academic officers, curriculum directors, and math coordinators
- Lead discovery calls to understand district needs and present tailored solutions
- Design pilot programs and guide them toward successful outcomes and long-term adoption
- Collaborate with customer success and product teams to ensure alignment and district satisfaction
- Represent Thinkverse at conferences, webinars, and regional events
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and meet quarterly revenue targets
- Build strong, lasting relationships grounded in trust, impact, and shared goals
- Travel up to 30%, including for conferences and other events
Skills
- Two or more years of quota-carrying, full-cycle sales experience, ideally in K–12 EdTech
- Familiarity with U.S. public school systems and K–12 sales cycles
- A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated success creating outbound opportunities through cold calling and cold emailing
- Experience representing an organization at conferences
- Are an ambitious EdTech seller who has succeeded in school-level or smaller-district environments and is ready to own full district relationships
- Are a strong communicator and relationship-builder who can connect with everyone from classroom teachers to cabinet-level district leaders
- Can create momentum without a mature sales infrastructure
- Are highly coachable and respond well to direct feedback
- Combine individual accountability with a team-first approach
- Can balance near-term revenue opportunities with thoughtful territory development
- Are comfortable testing, learning, and adjusting as the sales model evolves
