Summary
Videojet Technologies is a world leader in the product identification market, providing in-line printing, coding, and marking products. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting customer equipment, including installation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of Videojet devices at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout the Jefferson City, MO territory to support manufacturing customers, with most work completed during the day and limited overnight travel and/or limited weekend work
- Provide ongoing care and support for our customer's equipment
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Videojet coding and marking equipment at customer facilities
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues and deliver effective, timely solutions
- Become a trusted advisor and partner for our customers, to develop excellent relationships
- Extend our Videojet footprint in the market by promoting our service agreements and newer technology
Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, or field service experience
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to comply with customer safety requirements, PPE standards, and site access policies
- Valid driver's license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, lift, stretch, bend, and squat throughout the day
- Must be comfortable with day travel and home most evenings; but also occasional overnight travel
- Technical Degree preferred and/or relevant military training; other backgrounds welcome to apply with relevant work history
- Technical Agility- Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Computer Hardware and Software; having the desire to work with best-in-class technology and learn new skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills. Being able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, from front line operators to senior management, and remaining professional at all times
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
